Yup, you did the right thing...This crap happens all the time to me, but when it's this early, I pretty much give it up and check it down ... (and win with a high card sometimes)...I have NO idea if you can do the same style at the larger SNG's, but at my level, you for sure did the right thing...

Looks right to me. If he was dumb enough to call pre-flop what makes you think he got smart enough to fold if you bet later on??

Besides poker is a multi-handed game. What good did you get out of this hand for later?

1. People know that you don't bet big w/AK (later on you might, surprise to them)

2. The guy who won with a pair of 4s will think he can do it again. (That could be costly for him)
